2024 Samsung Galaxy Unpacked date revealed through an extremely formal-looking teaser

The date of Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event has leaked, just before the Christmas and New Year holidays. Yes, the Galaxy S24 series will indeed be launched at this exact event, and this isn't the first time the phones' leaked launch date has surfaced.

But tipster Evan Blass has shared a GIF of a countdown counting down to Galaxy Unpacker 2024 that looks extremely authentic, implying that Samsung leaked the information. Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is confirmed by the GIF will take place on January 18 at 3 AM KST. Remember that the time and date shown in the leaked GIF translate to a US launch date of January 17, which makes logical. On that date, Samsung is already anticipated to hold a live event in San Jose, California.

The picture also states, "Galaxy AI is coming," which may be a reference to the anticipated on-device AI assistant for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung itself originally informed us about Galaxy AI in November. The business claims that it would enable "barrier-free communication, simplified productivity, and unconstrained creativity" and be far smarter than Bixby. Because it will be incorporated into the main calling software, it will have the ability to serve as a personal translator for users during calls, eliminating the need for cumbersome third-party translation tools.

But that won't be the extent of the Galaxy S24 series' AI capabilities. We now know that One UI 6.1 will include a ton of new artificial intelligence features, some of which will directly compete with Google's Pixel series. This information comes from leaks.

Given that the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 date leaked today, an official announcement from Samsung is also likely to come shortly.
