Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Could Offer AI Photo Editing Tool Similar to Google's Pixel 8
Samsung Galaxy S24 series is rumoured to launch on January 17.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is anticipated to release shortly. In the past few weeks, a number of leaks, renders, and other data about the phones have appeared online ahead of the anticipated launch. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will probably be in the lineup. The next Samsung lineup is expected to include a plethora of AI functions, such as the capacity to remove objects from videos, according to multiple sources. More AI picture editing tools may be included in the marketing materials that a tipster has now leaked for the Galaxy S24 series.
According to a picture that tipster Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin) posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Galaxy S24 series may come with AI photo editing capabilities akin to those found in Google's Pixel 8 series. The promotional graphic implies that a feature known as "Generative Edit" will be available for the Galaxy S24 series. This feature is supposed to be able to animate objects in different directions and apply generative edits to empty spaces. Users will apparently need to be online and have logged into a Samsung account in order to use this feature, though. The feature may also apply to movies, as previously suggested, given there is no indication that it is limited to images.
A comparable feature called Magic Editor is available on Google's Pixel 8 series and allows you to move, erase, and apply generative fill to photographs. An internet connection is also necessary to use this feature. Other smartphone brands are finally catching up to Pixel, which has been using AI features for some time. Other AI features will also be available in Samsung's Galaxy S24 lineup, and all Galaxy S24 models will support the Generative Edit feature, based on marketing materials that have been leaked.
The leaked photo also points to additional features, like Live Translate—which Samsung just revealed—that will be available on the Galaxy S24 series. With the aid of AI, this tool can translate phone calls in real time. The Nightography Zoom function, which is supposed to enhance low-light images captured by the phone's telephoto camera, may also be included in the next phones.
January 17 is thought to be the debut date for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, although no formal announcement has been made as of yet. Most regions in the lineup are reportedly using a customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, however some might receive the Exynos 2400 chipset.
